And now a classic J-Blog look back at the week that was, and those who made it worth living. That's right, it's the three stars. If you would like to nominate someone for future three star consideration, leave a comment below.
Third Star: OS X El Capitan.
For a while there the only thing I noticed that was new about El Cap was the new spinning pinwheel, and that because the update took so long to settle down on my computer the pinwheel was all I saw. But now that everything is up and working, I love the new OS. If for no other reason, the split screen view allows for maximum not paying attention in certain classes, particularly when the Penguins are playing (more on that in a moment...)
Seconds Star: Pirates Fans
Look, don't beat yourself up. As a Penguins fan, I've grown accustomed to incredible regular season success followed by "What the heck was that?" in the playoffs. The boys ran into a good pitcher, and he played as advertised. There's always next year...but you guys deserve credit for hanging in their all this time. I'm not talking about fair weather fans like me who show up when they start winning. This one's for you who have been with them any length of time in the last 23 years.
First Star: The Pittsburgh Penguins
Speaking of disappointments in sport, I was going to give this star to whoever scored first for the Pens last night. Oops. I have been reminding myself all morning: It's just the first game. They'll be fine. Won't they?
But at least they'll offer my babies some swag!
